Frequently Asked Questions

Mail:
Your child will be allowed to correspond with parents/guardians, family members, lawyers, and Probation Officer. The suggested list is not inclusive and may consist of additional individuals who have a direct positive influence upon your child.

Phone:
It is important to note while your child is in Orientation Stage you will not have any phone contact or visits until s/he has been here for 30 days. Your child’s Case Manager will setup opportunities to call your child. Due to resource demands, your child’s phone call will be limited to ten minutes. As with in-facility visits, your child may only speak to parents, grandparents, and/or legal guardians. Outgoing phone calls are not made unless there are extreme circumstances.

Visits:
During your child’s stay, you will have an active role in your child’s treatment program. As such, visitation privileges are offered in a fashion consistent with your child’s behavior and progress in his/her treatment plan. In-facility family visits will be limited to parents, grandparents, and/or legal guardians only. Visiting is on Mondays, a case manager will contact you for 2 hour time frames for Aurora Pines Girls Facility and China Spring Youth Camp. Exceptions to the visiting guidelines are rarely granted and are to be requested to the Case Manager.

We do not service Clark County nor Out of State. Placements are pre-screened by the Camp Facility Managers.

All residents of China Spring are court ordered to the facility.
